The purposes of this study were to compare students writing skill and vocabulary for work after using English exercises. The target group was 41 fourth year general science students in education faculty taking the English for Work course (1500110) in the first semester of the academic year 2013 at LampangRajabhat University, Lampang. The research instruments consisted of 5 lesson plans using English exercises. The data collecting instrument consisted of an English writing skill test and vocabulary knowledge test. The obtained data were analyzed for mean and percentage.
The findings of this study are as follows.
1. The students writing skill increased after learning through English exercises.
2. The students vocabulary knowledge increased after learning through English exercises.
